Who We Are...
The California Music Educators Association Southeastern Section (CMEA-SES) represents music educators in Riverside, Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties (RIMSOC).
The vision of CMEA-SES (as part of CMEA & NAfME) is to ensure that all California students have equal access to high quality music instruction as part of a well-rounded education and to promote the understanding and making of music by all.
What We Do...
CMEA-SES supports and promotes music education in our region by:
- Advocating for a standards-based and sequential music education at all levels, taught by credentialed licensed teachers and accessible to all students during the regular school day.
- Supporting local music education organizations and programs through creative collaborations.
- Providing events and training for under-represented sectors of music education.

Membership in CMEA-SES is included with your membership in the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and your membership with the California Music Educators Association (CMEA). That's three organizations levels for the price of one.
NAfME and CMEA lead the way in advocating for music education for all students and is the professional organization for music educators regardless of specialization.
By joining CMEA-SES, CMEA, and NAfME you are standing up for music education as a profession and advocating for a robust future for music students.
